5 Strategies for Prospecting Leads on Facebook
by Krista Tolly

FACEBOOK Prospecting/Recruiting #1 – DON’T SPEND TOO MUCH TIME HAVING SMALL TALK.

The reason for this is… Yes we want to build relationships and the like, know, and trust factor however you don’t want them to feel like you are not being genuine. "That is a red flag" if they feel like you are hiding something.

Get to the point- Send them a quick personal and friendly message and then on the second message let them know why you’re reaching out to them.

Hey ______ I am looking to grow my business and I am reaching out to you to share some information with you without any obligation.

(Be authentic)

FACEBOOK Prospecting/Recruiting #2 – BRAND YOURSELF NOT YOUR COMPANY

Here is what happens: When you mention the name of your company they then want to go research it, or put up a wall because they knew some one who use to sell it, or they think it’s to expensive, or they may feel like they can’t be successful because there are to many other consultants selling that product.

FACEBOOK Prospecting/Recruiting #3 – TOO MUCH INFORMATION IS OVERLOAD!

Make sure when you are share information to ALWAYS ASK permission to do so…Don’t just assume they want it.

#1 Give a sincere compliment and then ask them... if they have ever thought about doing what you do?

#2 Ask them if they would ever consider doing what you do?

#3 Ask the when is a good time to connect on the phone?

#4 Ask them if they would be willing to watch a brief video and look over some information?

FOLLOW UP IS KEY…Don’t badger, but don’t let them have control.- Word Choices are essential in the follow up.

FACEBOOK Prospecting/Recruiting #4 – HAVE MORE CONVERSATIONS

Make sure you have a goal in mind of how many people a day that you want to connect and share with.

You need to have a lot of conversations, it is key- 2 of my motto’s are...

My job is to ask not to convince AND REMEMBER

Some will, some won't...so what!

GO Share with someone else... it is a #'s game!

FACEBOOK Prospecting/Recruiting #5– MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A GOOD CALL TO ACTION PLAN!

Use the interview form and make sure you close the deal!

(It is like a hand shake)
