CBD: What to Ask Before You Buy

When you are ready to give CBD a try, how do you choose a safe, quality product?

Once I decided I wanted to try CBD (cannabidiol) oil, I discovered there are differences that can affect the quality and safety. Because the CBD industry is unregulated by the FDA, it's up to you to research the companies you are considering buying from.

how is the Hemp sourced?

A quality CBD product has to start with the highest quality hemp grown in quality soil. Industrial hemp has phyto-remediation properties, meaning it can absorb elements from the air, water and soil it is grown in, like heavy metals and pesticides. Vitalibis uses two premium strains of high quality industrial hemp, sustainably and organically grown in organic soil in Colorado.

How is the oil extracted?

There are several methods of extracting the CBD oil. One method is to use a solvent, typically butane, propane or hexane. This can leave traces of carcinogenic and toxic residue. Another method utilizes CO2. This can leave a bitter taste requiring adding flavorings or another process to remove the bitter taste, refining the CBD further. Vitalibis CBD oil is extracted in a patent pending process involving precise bursts of heat, for less than 2 seconds, which does not damage the plant. This results in a flavorful, premium, full-spectrum, phyto-cannabinoid rich hemp oil.

Is the oil full spectrum or a CBD isolate?

CBD isolate is pure CBD, and contains no other compounds. Vitalibis CBD Oil is a full spectrum oil containing beneficial plant compounds such as phytocannabinoids, terpenes, fatty acids, chlorophyll, flavonoids, etc. Research has found a full spectrum oil works synergistically and much more effectively in the body.

Is the CBD oil tested by an independent third party lab?

Vitalibis has each batch tested for potency, safety and efficacy. Their protocols test for cannabinoids, heavy metals and microbial elements. Additionally, the oil is filled at a certified GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) manufacturing facility.

Does the company make health claims?

It is a violation of FDA guidelines to make medical claims about CBD products. Making unsubstantiated therapeutic claims is not only a violation of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, but can also put patients at risk. If a company breaks this law, what else are they doing just to make a sale?

Vitalibis never cuts corners on quality, safety or efficacy. They do not use CBD Isolate or modify their oil with flavors or anything else. Vitalibis Signature 300 is simply a premium, full spectrum, phytocannabinoid rich hemp oil blended with organic Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCT) from coconut oil. Each bottle contains 300mg of naturally occurring cannabidiol (CBD).

Vitalibis will never cut corners on quality or safety. Learn more about Vitalibis products HERE
