My 4th Annual Freedom Feet Christmas Campaign

When I first joined Lemongrass Spa, almost 5 years ago,, I  quickly discovered that it's a company who loves giving back to  communities and showing appreciation for others.  One of it's key programs is Operation Freedom Feet.  At the time, I didn't understand the importance or the service Lemongrass was providing to active, overseas military personnel through this program.  That changed when my own son and his best friend joined the military family. I soon learned the special needs our dedicated men and women have in order to perform their duties well.

What is Operation Freedom Feet?

Consultants and customers are given the opportunity to purchase or contribute towards the cost of a specially-designed foot care kit that is then distributed to active military personnel currently serving overseas. Names and addresses of active units are shared with our home office through customers and consultants, along with the number of kits needed.  Each kit comes with a 3-piece foot spa (soak, scrub, and balm) and a  handwritten note of appreciation for their service.  When a customer orders a kit, they are not charged shipping for that item.

Why this year is extra special for me...

The previous 3 years that I have held this kit drive, I did so not knowing who the recipents of our kits would be.  This year, it's different.  We are collecting for a specific unit, and I know the contact person. She is a personal friend of my son's.  Granted, I don't know her well, but the fact that we have "met" and chatted together over social media makes this drive extra special for me.  I'm highly motivated to see that we collect the 10 kits needed to send her way.

How can you participate?

There's a couple of ways you can  get involved.  First, consider purchasing a kit.  When you do, you'll also have the opportunity to send a personal greeting to one of these service members.  $24 covers the cost of the kit and again, no shipping charges are added.  Second, I know there are many great causes you want to contribute to during the holiday season., and if you're like me, you have a set amount in your budget for "giving back".  If you would like to participate, but also have other causes your donate to and just can't do the $24, consider making a contribution towards the cost of a kit.  Any dollar amount can be added to the cause, whether it's $1, $7, or $15.  Each contribution helps us reach our goal of sending out 10 kits to my friend and her colleagues.

There are enough members of the Lemongrass Spa with Cheryl Fanella family that I know we can knock this goal out of the park!  Join with me, and let's bring some joy into these young people's lives, who are currently so far from home! If you're ready to jump in, simply text me at 215-767-8423 and say, "I'm IN!" Can't wait to hear from you!
