I grew up in Grande Prairie, Alberta. I've been a teacher for 20 years. Currently I'm teaching Grade 9 part time. In December 2014 my husband and I adopted our two girls at the ages of 2&4, just in time to have a family for Christmas! After my maternity leave, I decided to only go back to teaching part time, which I love! While I was on maternity leave I was invited to an online Color by Amber party. Once I started learning more about the company, and realized that by buying the jewelry I was supporting women in developing countries, I was hooked! I became a consistent customer, and then in March 2016 decided to sign up as stylist. Since I was only working part time as a teacher I thought it would be a good way to get some additional income. What started out as a way to get additional income became something so much more! I thought adopting my girls would get rid of that discontent feeling I was having about life, but it didn't. Of course they brought me lots more purpose, and challenges, and blessings, but I still wanted something else. Becoming a Color by Amber stylist brought me a new challenge, a whole new Industry to learn about, and it gave me a new purpose in life. It felt good to know that I was helping women in developing countries provide food for their families, I was finally making a real difference in this world and that brought excitement and energy again to my life!
