Growing up in central Florida (Orlando), I had my whole life planned out by the age of 9! Of course it included the usual fall in love, get married, and have kids, but my main goal before this starting a family thing, was to be a dolphin trainer at Sea World! Ever since the age of 4 (after my first time going to Sea World), my life’s goal was to work with these amazing creatures! Well, things went pretty close as planned, until ten years later when I lost my mom. I didn’t realize it then, but that’s when the desire of being just like my mom overshadowed being a trainer. But I continued to pursue this aquatic dream to the very point of making it come true, when life happened again. Well, fast forward 20 years, and although the water is still my playground and I still long to be a mom, I live no where near the ocean nor have given birth. Yet, I find myself following in my mother’s footsteps! Celebrating, encouraging, and rewarding women is not just what I get to do it’s what I love to do.
Part of life happening, was health issues which created financial issues. And although my husband never pressured me to work, let alone have two jobs, I so desperately wanted to do all I could to help us regain financial freedom. I was tutoring at the time through our local community college, so this other job, would need to be both close by and flexible. I guess that’s why reading several “getting out of debt” testimonials in a Thirty-One catalogue (which I had not heard of before) opened my eyes and mind to direct sales. However, there was just one problem, I was not nor wanted to be a salesperson! Well after much prayer, research, and consideration, I stepped out in faith. If this was the way, then Thirty-One was my answer. It’s true, God works in mysterious ways because little did I know that just nine months later, my position at the college would be phased out. This left me with the choice to either find something else or go all in with Thirty-One. Guess you know what I choose, and I haven’t looked back! Thirty-One is so much more than just a bag!
