Knowing that life is short and each day is a gift, I decided several years ago that I wanted to retire from my full-time day job before I got too old to enjoy my free-time. However, I knew that although I had been saving for retirement for many years, I was going to need a supplemental salary to be able to do all the traveling that’s in my plans, as well as, have something to keep me occupied in my spare time. I had no idea what that would be. I’ve spent my life in the business/office atmosphere and while I’ve enjoyed my work and felt accomplished, I couldn’t see myself continuing with a part-time job in the same occupation. Then, one evening, a few years ago, I was invited to a “cleaning” party. Great. Isn’t that just what everyone wants to do after a full week of work? Well, I went…to support my friend. To my surprise, I discovered the wonderful world of Norwex. While I’d had my head in the sand regarding the dangers of chemicals, I could immediately see the many benefits of being able to clean your home with just microfiber and water. My little light bulb went on and, although starting my own business was a pretty daunting thought, it was also the answer to prayers. The perfect puzzle piece to my “early retirement plan.” I grabbed on with both hands and started my new journey, enjoying each day, waiting to see what’s in store next.
I’ll be honest, I began my business career with Norwex because I was looking for something to do in my retirement and after almost 40 years of working for someone else, the thought having my own business was very appealing.
Now, I’m a very practical person and selling jewelry, clothes, etc, while perfect for someone else, was just not me. But cleaning products? You can’t get much more practical than that. However, I quickly discovered that Norwex is more than practical. Their mission of radically reducing the use of chemicals in our homes is one that they are passionate about and they don’t just talk the talk, they walk the walk. I encourage you to take that walk with us, joining together to create a brighter future for generations to come.
